The "Adopt a New Attitude Project" was founded by Laura Ingraham, an adoptive mom of three children, including two Russian boys. Its creative team is headed by producer Phil Lerman and editor Gavin Portnoy, for whom this effort is a labor of love. At its core, this project is about changing minds, and sparking action, in order to help save innocent lives. Too many loving families who are otherwise qualified to adopt meet needless, seemingly insurmountable, roadblocks along the way.
Our project is an ambitious one that could not have been launched without the generous contributions from caring individuals and companies nationwide. Thank you to our current and future partners for helping give voice to orphans and their would-be parents. A special thanks to the adoptive parents and former Russian orphans who opened their hearts and homes to make this initiative come to life.
Adoption is one of those important issues that bring people together from all parts of the political spectrum. We know this ongoing effort to promote and streamline adoption will succeed, buoyed by the hard and sustained commitment of those who put children before politics.
We are eternally grateful to all compassionate people who share our hope that all children deserve families who will love and raise them. It is our goal that adoptive families – and those who hope to adopt – will meet here to share their own experiences, encourage each other, and help each other navigate the difficult process of adoption. It’s our fervent belief that through raising consciousness and sharing what we’ve all learned, we can and bring more children to the loving homes that await them.
Let's adopt a new attitude.
